Start your day on Home#

Home is a personal to-do view, not a company dashboard. It brings together your open tasks that are overdue, due today, or have no date, open fulfillment steps assigned to you, and your own connected calendar for the selected day. Teammates’ calendars don’t appear here.

A one-line summary under the greeting counts your overdue tasks, tasks due today, and overdue fulfillment steps, or says Nothing needs you right now. In a brand-new workspace it suggests adding a contact, then a deal, then inviting the team. The Tasks and Fulfillment cards each show up to five rows; See all appears when there are more. With nothing to show, Tasks says Nothing due today. and Fulfillment says No steps assigned to you. If a card can’t load, it says so with Retry loading tasks or Retry loading fulfillment (Meetings shows Retry). Use the arrows beside Meetings to move a day at a time, and choose the day’s name to return to today. Meetings shows up to five upcoming events; choose N more events to see the rest. Events that have already ended collapse under N past events. Choose an upcoming event to see its location, its participants eight at a time (with the organizer marked and matching contacts you can open), and your own reply; other people’s replies aren’t stored. Your ⋯ menu choices are saved in this browser for each workspace. Without a connected calendar the card says No calendar connected and links to Email and calendar accounts. On a day with no events it says Nothing on this day; when every event is hidden by the ⋯ menu it says Nothing matches what you are showing. Declined events stay hidden until you turn them on in the ⋯ menu beside Meetings, which also controls all-day events and events without conferencing. See Email and calendar for connecting a calendar.

Complete a task directly from its row, or choose it to open the task. New task on the Tasks card adds one, and Quick actions sits beside the greeting. Use Reports when you want to look at business-wide numbers instead.

Use the sidebar as your map#

  • Workspace holds Home, Reports, Tasks, Notes, Workflows, Sequences, and Courses. A number beside Tasks counts your open overdue tasks.
  • Revenue holds Pipeline, which expands into Contacts and Deals, and Fulfillment, where you track delivery work.
  • Views lists saved views for Contacts, Deals, Tasks, and Fulfillment. It stays in the sidebar even when it’s empty; choose the heading to collapse or expand it, and this browser remembers which. See Filters and views.

At the bottom, choose Getting started to see six first steps; each ticks itself off once your workspace has it, and choosing an unfinished step starts it (see Your first steps). Dismiss, in that panel, hides it in this browser. Invite members sits below it.

Choose Collapse sidebar beside the company name for more room, and Expand sidebar at the top of the page to bring it back. Drag the sidebar’s edge to resize it; double-click the edge to reset it. This browser remembers both. On narrow screens the sidebar opens as a drawer from the menu button.

Jump with Quick actions#

Choose Quick actions (the command palette) or press ⌘ K on Mac / Ctrl K on Windows. Search contacts by name, email, company, or phone; deals by name or their contact, along with those deals’ fulfillments; open tasks; note titles; course titles (drafts only for owners and admins); and report names or descriptions. Jump to a page, switch between light and dark mode, or start a new contact, deal, task, note, fulfillment, report, or course (as available). Typing starts returning matches from the second character; one character alone does not search records. Each group shows up to five matches, so type more of the name to narrow a long list.

Choosing a course opens it. Other results open their page, searched for that name. New contact, New deal, New task, and New fulfillment appear only if you can edit that kind of record; New course is for owners and admins.

Use the arrow keys to move through results, Enter to choose one, and Esc to close. Settings pages are searchable here too.

Keyboard shortcuts: press N to write a new note from anywhere in the app, as long as you aren’t typing in a field and no dialog is open. Neither shortcut works inside Settings.

Check your notifications#

The bell beside Quick actions shows a dot when something is unread. You’re notified when a teammate mentions you in a note or task, assigns you a deal, contact, task, or fulfillment step, or moves a deal you own to another stage. Your own actions never notify you.

Choose a notification to open what it’s about; that marks it read. Mark all as read clears the dot. The list shows your newest 50 notifications in the current workspace, and each is removed after 90 days. Notification settings opens the Email and App checkboxes described in Choose which notifications reach you.

Import progress and some errors, such as a list that couldn’t refresh, appear as small notices in the top right, below the toolbar. An import notice counts as it goes and briefly shows its totals when it finishes. You can close a notice; a refresh error also offers Try again.

Go from a list to a record#

On Contacts or Deals, choose Open preview to review a record in a side panel while the list stays live, or open a contact row or deal card for the full record. In the preview, the previous and next arrows follow your current sort, filters, and search; the expand button opens the full record, and a section’s View all (Activity, Emails, Meetings, Tasks, Notes, Files) opens the full record on that tab, and Esc closes the panel.

The full record brings its details, related work, notes, tasks, and activity together. Its tabs are Overview, Activity, Emails, Messages (texts, calls, and voicemails from Quo or Dialpad), Meetings, Notes, Tasks, and Files. Every tab except Overview shows a count: 99+ above 99, and a dash when the count isn’t available. Linked contacts and deals let you move between the person and the opportunity without searching again.

Record pages have their own URLs, so you can bookmark them or share a link with a teammate who has access. Sharing a URL does not grant someone permission to view your workspace.

Switch workspaces and open settings#

Open the company-name menu at the top of the sidebar. A Workspaces list appears first—sorted A to Z, with a check on the one you’re in. Choose another to move there; the address becomes that workspace’s home, the sidebar stays put, and the main column shows Loading your workspace… until it resolves. Your browser’s Back button returns to the workspace you left. When you belong to more than eight workspaces, Find a workspace… appears so you can narrow the list; Enter opens the first match. Opening Ariyel without a workspace in the address takes you to the one you last used in this browser, or, if you’re no longer in it, to the workspace you joined first.

Below that, Account settings opens your personal settings (profile, appearance, connected accounts, notifications, Refer and earn, and phone lines once your workspace has Quo or Dialpad connected; see Quo or Dialpad). Workspace settings opens company configuration. Invite members and Sign out are there too; Sign out signs this login out on every device, not just this browser. Some workspace controls are read-only for members; see Workspace & members.

Settings opens full-screen. Its sidebar groups pages under Personal, Workspace, Data, and Resources (where you’ll find the Change Log), with Search settings… at the top. On narrow screens the same list opens from the page name at the top. Help opens Troubleshooting & help in a new tab. Use the back arrow beside Settings to return to the app.
