Courses give your workspace a shared place for training. A course contains an ordered list of lessons; each lesson can include a video, written notes, and links to useful files. Use it for repeatable instructions that teammates can revisit without searching through conversations.
Create a course#
Workspace owners and admins can create and edit courses. Other members read published courses rather than authoring them. If New course is missing, check your workspace role before looking for a hidden creation control.
- Open Courses and choose New course.
- Set the course title and a short description of what it covers.
- Add a first lesson, then name the remaining lessons in the order someone should read them.
- Use Edit when returning to an existing course. Drag a lesson's reorder handle to change its position.
Add lesson material#
Select a lesson from the list. Add a YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom URL in Video link; unsupported links display an explanation instead of becoming a playable video. The video remains hosted by its provider, so check that your intended viewers can access it there.
Use Notes for readable instructions with headings, bullets, and links. Under Files, enter a label and an HTTP or HTTPS URL, then choose Add. These are links to resources, not a course-file upload form. Make sure the destination's sharing settings allow your teammates to open it.
Publish for your workspace#
Choose Done to leave editing mode and review the lesson as a reader. When the course is ready, choose Publish. Draft courses are visible to owners and admins; publishing makes the course available to workspace members.
Use Unpublish to return it to draft. This is workspace training, not a public course storefront: publishing is not a way to distribute lessons to anyone with a public link.
Read and maintain courses#
Search Courses by name, sort the collection, and open a course to select lessons from its curriculum. Recheck videos and linked files when updating training: publishing a course does not change access permissions at those external destinations.
The course interface is for reading and maintaining lessons. Do not rely on it for learner enrollment, completion tracking, quizzes, or certificates. Remove lessons or delete a course only when you no longer need that material in the workspace.
